چکیده

Citrus tristeza virus (CTV, genus Closterovirus, family Closteroviridae) is the largest member of its taxonomic family. Viral particles, 2000 nm in length and 10–12 nm in diameter, are present in the phloem of infected plants. A single stranded positive sense RNA molecule approximately 20,000 nucleotides long constitutes its genome (BarBacterial expressed coat protein: development of a single antiserum for routine detection of Citrus Tristeza Virus

Expression of Citrus tristeza virus coat protein gene in Escherichia coli

Citrus tristeza virus (CTV) is among the most destructive pathogens of citrus and causes substantial economic losses in citrus-growing industry worldwide. Considering recent distribution of this pathogen and its capability of transmission by existing aphid vectors in Iran, detection of this virus is enforceable for controlling the damage caused by this pathogen in Iran, as one of the major citr...

Production and Partial Purification of the Grapevine Fanleaf Virus Coat Protein 42 Polyclonal Antibody Against Inclusion Body Expressed in Escherichia coli

Background: Expression of virus coat protein (CP) in Escherichia coli often leads to production of partially folded aggregated proteins which are called inclusion bodies. Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV) is one of the most serious and widespread grapevine virus diseases around the world and in Iran. Objective: The main objective of this study was to find a s...

Development of a Multiplex RT-PCR Assay for Detection of the Causal Agents of Citrus Tristeza and Cachexia Diseases with Coamplification of Plant mRNA as an Internal Control

Background and Aims: Plant certification programs need reliable, fast, cheap and sensitive methods for detection of systemic pathogens with special interest in virus and viroid detection. Reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) has been documented as an alternative assay for certification of plant propagating materials. The main object of the present study was the optimization ...
